The 2011 Entry Draft is not considered one of the stronger drafts of the past decade. Here are the top ten selections:
- Ryan Nugent-Hopkins (Edmonton)
- Gabriel Landeskog – (Colorado)
- Jonathan Huberdeau (Florida)
- Adam Larsson (New Jersey)
- Ryan Strome (Islanders)
- Mika Zibanejad (Ottawa)
- Mark Scheifele (Winnipeg)
- Sean Couturier (Philadelphia)
- Dougie Hamilton (Boston)
- Jonas Brodin (Minnesota)
While not considered a deep draft, all top ten picks have played at least 350 games in the NHL and it produced two Calder Trophy winners (Huberdeau and Landeskog) and one all-star (Nugent-Hopkins).
