When the New York Rangers acquired Brett Howden in the Ryan McDonagh trade, they knew they were getting a big game player. A prospect highly touted in all facets of the game, Howden has always been a strong offensive player above all. This season, he flourished offensively, scoring 75 points in just 49 games.
However, everyone knows the playoffs are a very different animal. His reputation as an all effort, big game player came through. He was over a point per game in his two playoff rounds, scoring 15 points in 14 games.
Unfortunately for him, Moose Jaw was eliminated in the second round by the red hot Swift Current Broncos.
