The New York Rangers are coming off an impressive win in Toronto and kick off a trip to Western Canada with a match against the slumping Edmonton Oilers. It’s a good time to take them on as they’ve won only four times in their last 15 games.
The Oilers were scorching hot to start the season, getting off to a 16-7-3 record, contending for the top spot in the Western Conference. Since Thanksgiving, they’ve cooled off considerably and go into tonight’s match-up on the outside of the playoff picture.
Alexandar Georgiev will be in net for the Rangers and it is believed that Mike Smith will be in goal for the Oilers.
