On Wednesday evening the National Hockey League announced the Rangers will not face the Flyers on Valentine’s Day.
Claude Giroux, Travis Sanheim and and Justin Braun are the three Philadelphia players currently on the NHL’s COVID Protocol List. As the league continues contract tracing, the Flyers’ facilities are shut down until at least Monday, Feb. 15.
The Rangers next game should be against the New Jersey Devils on Tuesday, Feb. 16 but the Devils currently have one of the longest lists of COVID-impacted players in the league. The Devils facilities have been closed since Feb. 1.
If the Rangers can’t play on Sunday or Tuesday, their next game is supposed to be… against the Flyers in Philadelphia on Thursday, Feb.
