25 years old, Defensemen, Signed as an Undrafted Free Agent by the Rangers.Much like Ryan Bourque, Mat Bodie’s time with the Rangers organization could be running out. There is no question he has improved his game, but he still needs more time to develop in the AHL. Bodie is 25 years old and will turn 26 in March, meaning in the off season, it will be his last time where he will become an RFA.
Bodie can absolutely develop into an NHL defensemen, and it’s quite possible he does so in the next one or two years.
