There’s nothing to question about the captaincy of New York Ranger’s Ryan McDonagh, as he has the potential to be one of the better captains in Rangers history.
McDonagh faced some adversity this year, starting with a shoulder injury early in a disappointing 2014-15 regular season, then a broken foot in the playoffs. But for the most part throughout his young career, McDonagh has brought nothing short of excellence in the playoffs for the Rangers.

Now it’s time for McDonagh to take the next step, shake off his declining 2014-15 season and at least contend for the Norris trophy.
