New York Rangers‘ Carl Klingberg is said to be ready to join the Kontinental Hockey League. Nothing is set in stone, yet there are talks of Klingberg joining the Torpedo in Nizhny Novgorod, Russia.
Klingberg may have very well been offered the max salary of $925,000 to stay in the NHL. Yet, joining the KHL could guarantee the 24-year-old the ice time and the attention he needs to develop his game and build a stronger reputation for himself.
In the NHL, Klingberg would most definitely be stuck in the bottom-six for a while.
