It’s been a long tough road for the New York Rangers since Derek Stepan potted the overtime winner in Game Seven of the Stanley Cup Playoffs Second Round against the Washington Capitals on May 13, 2015.
The Rangers have only won one playoff series since that epic battle against the Capitals, and the Capitals have taken their revenge during the regular season as well. Last year the Caps swept the season series against the Blueshirts.
But the 2019-20 season has the Capitals and the Rangers on different ends of the team spectrum.
