With Artemiy Panarin and Kaapo Kakko unavailable and Filip Chytil not yet ready to return, the Rangers have recalled Jonny Brodzinski from the taxi squad.
Brodzinski made his Ranger debut on February 1 vs. the Penguins wearing No. 76 — formerly worn by Brady Skjei who was traded on this day one year ago— and skated 7:33 while taking a penalty and registering one shot on goal.
The 27-year-old forward has appeared in four games with the Hartford Wolf Pack, and has posted a line of 2-4-6. Last season he was primarily a member of the San Jose Barracuda, and he finished the season with 14 goals, 16 assists, and 30 points in 44 games played.
