The New York Rangers have called up Tony DeAngelo and Daniel Catenacci.
DeAngelo’s call up is a little surprising, to be honest. He didn’t prove much in his stint in Hartford since earlier this year with just 13 points in 29 games. It’s worth noting he had a horrid first 10 games with the team, so there is some improvement there.
For what it’s worth, DeAngelo should have been called up the moment Steven Kampfer was going to be inserted into the lineup. The Rangers need to find out what they have in DeAngelo, and soon.
