After a rocky start, it is starting to look like the New York Rangers are finally hitting their stride. On Wednesday night, they captured their fifth consecutive win, beating the Bruins 4-2.
Fans of both the Oilers and Rangers had similar expectations before the season started. Edmonton was a popular choice for the Stanley Cup Winner, and there was a ton of talk about the Rangers’ offseason improvements.
As time went on, however, neither team lived up to the hype. New York only won two of their first ten games, and Edmonton won just one more game out of their own first ten.
