With 25-year-old Swedish center Oscar Lindberg rumored Vegas bound, it appears the Rangers may need to find a new fourth line center.
Las Vegas is set to take one player from each of the other 30 NHL teams in tonight’s expansion draft. The Rangers chose not to protect Lindberg along with a group of players headlined by goalie Antti Raanta and wingers Michael Grabner and Jesper Fast.
Center Depth Could Take a Hit
Lindberg firmly established himself as the Rangers’ fourth line center this season. Though the team couldn’t afford to protect Lindberg, his play improved throughout the year.
