New York Rangers’ Oscar Lindberg Quietly Making a Difference

Lindberg’s inaugural season with the New York Rangers was a solid one, especially for a fourth liner. Last season, he saw time on the third and fourth lines, which gave him more scoring opportunities. He notched a total of 28 points, including 13 goals.

Although his production this season has slowed down to an extent, that can partially be blamed on the beginning of the season. He suffered an injury to his hip during training camp of the offseason. That limited his games played and stunted his ability when he came back.

All things considered, points are not the only factors that count when discussing the importance of a player.
