An unexpected trip to the playoffs have given life to a team that has struggled to identify as anything but mediocre. With a record of 44-29-9, the Devils were able to reach the playoffs for the first time since their last Stanley Cup last appearance in the 2011-2012 season.
Led by Hart Memorial trophy winner Taylor Hall, the New Jersey Devils look to build off their successful campaign of making the playoffs. With both New York teams set for a rebuild, this is New Jersey’s time to shine as the dominant team in the region.
While they probably won’t compete for the top spot in the Metropolitan, the Devils are young and could improve to an even better record than last season.
