New York Rangers News: Rangers Sign Jarret Stoll To One-Year Deal

The New York Rangers have signed Jarret Stoll to a one-year contract.

The New York Rangers broke their summer silence earlier this morning by bringing in some additional forward and center depth. According to Larry Brooks, the New York Rangers have signed Jarret Stoll to a one-year contract that will pay him $800,000 for the 2015-2016 season.

While Stoll's production has steadily dropped over the years with the Los Angeles Kings, this is a very low-risk signing that gives the Rangers some extra insurance up the middle. At $800,000, Stoll can be buried in the AHL without any lingering cap cost, and he's also a viable upgrade over Tanner Glass on the fourth line.
