New York Rangers News: Daniel Paille Placed on Waivers; Forward Recall Coming

The New York Rangers have placed Daniel Paille on waivers, which all but ends his short stay in the NHL.

The New York Rangers have officially ended the Daniel Paille experiment and placed 31-year-old forward on waivers to end his short stay in the NHL. According to Andrew Gross, Paille was placed on waivers at noon, and is likely bound for the Hartford Wolf Pack if he goes unclaimed. Paille was originally brought in to help "jump-start" the struggling penalty kill, but as expected, that quick fix failed almost instantly.

In the 12 games that Paille appeared in for the Rangers, the penalty kill dropped to 28th overall in the league, which has them operating at a 77.
