New York Rangers’ head coach Alain Vigneault made a majority of the team’s fan base very happy Saturday night. Not only did he remove Tanner Glass–who has played well of late– and defenseman Steve Kampfer from the lineup, but he did not insert either Dan Girardi or Kevin Klein on defense, nor did he add Brandon Pirri to the mix.
Vigneault added forward Pavel Buchnevich and defenseman Adam Clendening back into the mix. The Rangers ended up winning the game by a score of 3-2, and the two latest insertions to the lineup contributed an assist each.
Minus Henrik Lundqvist, who continues to sit out with a lower-body injury, the Rangers played their best lineup in Saturday night’s bought, and it looks like that group will be staying the same for tonight’s game against the Devils.
