The New York Rangers realized their AHL affiliate, the Hartford Wolf Pack, had an issue in net. On December 6th, the team signed KHL goaltender Marek Mazanec to a one-year contract.
Mazanec was a sixth-round draft pick of the Nashville Predators back in 2012. He played four games, two in relief, with the Predators last season but played 47 games with their AHL affiliate, the Milwaukee Admirals posting a 27-17-1 record with a .912 save percentage.
Mazanec signed a deal in the offseason to play with Bratislava Slovan in the KHL. It didn’t work out too well.
