New York Rangers: How Peter Holland could be important for Hartford

In case you forgot, Peter Holland is still on the New York Rangers’ roster. The 27-year old former first round pick has one more year on his contract with a cap hit of $675k.

For whatever reason, Alain Vigneault and his staff decided to call up Holland from Hartford last season a few months after the team acquired him for Adam Cracknell, who they claimed on waivers from the Dallas Stars a few weeks earlier, and sent down Boo Nieves.

In 23 games with the Rangers, he only tallied a goal and three assists. Half of those points came in a Sunday afternoon matinee with the Philadelphia Flyers at Madison Square Garden.
