In a time when the New York Rangers are preparing for a return to play, one of their long time contributors on and off the ice has been nominated for an award. Henrik Lundqvist has been chosen by the Professional Hockey Writers’ Association as a nominee for the 2020 Bill Masterton Memorial Trophy.
The Masterton Memorial Trophy is awarded annually to the “player who best exemplifies the qualities of perseverance, sportsmanship, and dedication to hockey. Robin Lehner, then with the New York Islanders, was awarded the trophy last season.
