After a heartbreaking 2-0 loss against the Tampa Bay Lightning in the Eastern Conference Final, it was hard as a fan to see Henrik Lundqivst go down the line and shake hands with the Lightning players. The look of utter sadness that consumed The King’s face was purely heartbreaking to see.
But that’s the crazy thing about hockey; every season is a chance at a new start, a new beginning, and another chance at bringing home Lord Stanley’s Cup.
“If I look back at the last four years, we’ve had a lot of great moments, especially in the playoffs,” Lundqvist told The Daily News’ Pat Leonard today at the Citi Henrik Lundqvist Hockey ProCamp.
