David Quinn, the newly hired head coach of the New York Rangers, has purchased a loft in Chelsea for $2.6 million. The loft is a mere eight-block walk from Madison Square Garden.
Quinn, who for the past five season’s was the head coach at Boston University, closed on the property on Wednesday. The one-bedroom apartment at Chelsea Mercantile, a 100-year-old, limestone-clad garment factory which was converted into luxury condominiums.
“I was looking for a place that was close to Madison Square Garden.”
Quinn spoke with Becky Strum of Mansion Global, also mentioning that he likes the casual feeling of a loft and wanted high ceilings.
