After a week, it is finally time to put away the pitchforks. The David Quinn era of New York Rangers hockey will not go defeated. The Boston University product is no longer in danger of going 0-82 in his rookie season in the NHL. The coach’s fingerprints were all over this gutsy win against a superior opponent.
The Sharks jumped out to an early lead just 4:31 into the first on a Marcus Sorenson goal. Unlike last year’s Ranger team though, the team bounced back and engaged following a disappointing goal. There were issues to be sure against a good San Jose team, but New York simply would just not give an inch.
