The old saying goes that you can’t win them all and the New York Rangers found that out the hard way on Tuesday night.
The first period wasn’t all so bad. The Devils’ Tyler Kennedy started the scoring just 4:47, but the Rangers responded with fury. Kevin Hayes picked up his 11th of the season not four minutes after Kennedy scored and Dominic Moore responded less than a minute after that to give the Rangers not only the momentum but the 2-1 lead heading into the dressing room after the first 20 minutes.
