The injuries keep on coming, this time New York Rangers defenseman Kevin Shattenkirk is the victim as he suffered what appeared to be a left shoulder injury in the second period of Monday’s loss to the Tampa Bay Lightning.
Larry Brooks of the New York Post reported that Shattenkirk left the arena Monday night in a sling and would be out indefinitely. The injury was the result of a hard hit by former Ranger J.T. Miller as the two battled for the puck.
David Quinn and his coaching staff have some options regarding the way to replace Shattenkirk in the lineup.
