The New York Rangers held a brief press conference to announce the changes made to management. Newly minted President and General Manager Chris Drury said that what transpired was not expected and called it a wild 24 hours.
Glen Sather clarified his role as a counselor to Drury and to owner James Dolan. He noted that in some cases having both the role of President and GM can make the job easier sometimes.
