Two trades are already on the board with the draft only a few minutes away. One has made a Metro Division rival much better and tougher for the New York Rangers.
The Nashville Predators traded star defenseman P.K. Subban to the Devils for defenseman Steven Santini and defensive prospect Jeremy Davies from Northeastern University. The Predators also get two second round draft picks in 2019 and 2020.
This has to be seen as highway robbery by Ray Shero. Both Santini and Davies are good prospects, but Subban is an All-Star. It was more about clearing cap space for the Predators who are rumored to be in play for Matt Duchene and need to extend Roman Josi.
