Rangers look to build on lead over Islanders with a win in Carolina
A winter storm is headed towards Raleigh, but a little freezing rain won’t keep the New York Rangers and the Carolina Hurricanes off the ice on Friday night.
The last time the Rangers took the ice, they came out on top of the Vancouver Canucks in overtime, putting them a point above the New York Islanders for second place in the Metropolitan Division. The downside of the was losing Chris Kreider to an apparent neck injury after a collision with Canucks forward Radim Vrbata.
