As the New York Rangers approached the trade deadline this year, there was not only rampant speculation as to what team each impending free agent player would be traded to, but also speculation about the possibility of each player returning to the Rangers over the summer as free agents.
Now that each former Ranger has gotten a chance to prove, or disprove their worth to the teams that traded for them, let’s take a look at each and see if a return to the Rangers is something that should be considered.
Kevin Hayes – Winnipeg
Kevin Hayes professed his love for playing in New York leading up to the trade deadline, but it wasn’t enough to make Jeff Gorton buy the ring.
