Anthony DeAngelo was the Rangers only tangible return when they traded away Derek Stepan and Antti Raanta this summer. The seventh overall pick in the NHL Entry Draft was certainly the most valuable piece of the trade. However, we werent sure who that was yet, but we knew who DeAngelo was.
The New Jersey native played one season with the Arizona Coyotes before he was traded. At 21 years old, DeAngelo posted five goals and nine assists through 39 games played. He tacked on a -13 rating and 46.0% CF rating. Not outstanding, but there was lots of promise for DeAngelo.
