Today New York State Governor Andrew Cuomo, per Reuters, announced that any stadium that can fit more than 10,000 people can host events beginning on February 23 at 10% capacity so long as the state’s Department of Health signs off on its safety plans.
This includes arenas such as Madison Square Garden, and the Rangers have announced it intends to let fans back in the building starting on February 26. The New York Knicks will begin hosting fans on February 23.
The exact protocol that will allow fans to attend hasn’t been completely announced yet, but the team’s goal is to have roughly 2,000 fans at every game.
