The New York Rangers came into Madison Square Garden on Wednesday night with a four-game winning streak. Up against the injury-riddled Boston Bruins, they hoped to continue that streak. Their plan succeeded; the New York Rangers triumphed over the Boston Bruins 4-2, extending their streak to five games.
In a game that involved a number of occasions where chances were traded off, both goaltenders had to be strong. Henrik Lundqvist stopped 31 of 33 shots, including 12 of 13 in the third period, to help the Rangers toward that win. To that end, the Rangers responded with 33 shots of their own, stopped 30 times by Rask, but enough to come out with the win.
