New York Rangers Analysis: Three early goals lead to loss in Montreal

The New York Rangers entered Montreal coming off a win against the Arizona Coyotes in their previous game. However, there was no sense of momentum in the Rangers effort and the game flow clearly favored the Canadiens in the early going.

The Canadiens opened the scoring 7:51 into the first period and the bleeding did not stop there. Philip Danault, Alex Galchenyuk (PPG) and Philip Danault all scored, giving the Canadiens three goals in just under six minutes.

With a fresh slate of ice, the Rangers got back to work. Pavel Buchnevich got the team on the board with his fourth goal of the season, this time with a power-play tally.
