New York Rangers Analysis: Rangers down Flyers in overtime at Garden

In one of the last remaining preseason bouts for the Rangers before the regular season opens up, the Rangers and Flyers played a typical game between the two. A nice physical battle accentuated with high emotions and a few punches thrown.

The Rangers had some success in the early first period, trapping their Philadelphia counter part in the defensive zone for quite a large span of the first period. Penalties caused some issues for the Flyers early, with Radko Gudas committing a hold and sending the Rangers to the power play.

Henrik Lundqvist played the full 60 for the Rangers, making 37 saves in the overtime stretching effort, including a flurry of saves in the last few minutes.
