With a lineup that featured far more NHL talent, the New York Rangers played well on home ice. This past Saturday, the New York Islanders blew the Rangers’ doors off because the team from Manhattan only had five NHL players in the lineup. On September 24 it was an entirely different story.
Much like the first meeting between these two teams, it was a back and forth affair. The Rangers scored first when forward Steven Foggarty potted a goal three minutes into the second period. Kyle Palmieri would answer back for the Devils just one minute later to knot the game at one.
