New York Rangers: Adam McQuaid traded to Columbus

Adam McQuaid was the last of the three pending unrestricted free agents on the Rangers and like Mats Zuccarello and Kevin Hayes, he is bound for a team with high postseason expectations.

The Rangers had acquired McQuaid from Boston in September for Steven Kampfer and a fourth and seventh round pick in 2019 NHL Draft. So, in essence, with the picks a wash, they got McQuaid for 36 games this season in exchange for Steven Kampfer.

McQuaid played in 36 games this season with two goals and three assists. He is the quintessential team player and a veteran of the playoff wars with the Bruins.
