Though not eliminated from the playoffs, it is just a formality for the New York Rangers. With about five weeks left in the season we will look at the remainder of the games (including April) to see where we think they will end up.
The Rangers have 19 games remaining. 11 of the 19 are on the road. After their horrible start, they have gone 5-3-1 in their last nine road games, so a schedule loaded with road games won’t be such a burden.
The schedule is very busy early with nine games in 16 days. They only have two sets of back-to-back games and after that early busy schedule there is a nine day period with only three games.
