The Carolina Hurricanes ended a 16 game Madison Square Garden losing streak with a 3-0 win that was really a 1-0 decision with two empty net goals. With their third straight road win, the Hurricanes moved to within one point of the second wild card slot. If you look at the resurgent Hurricanes, you can see the Ranger team of the future.
