With the 2017-18 season completed, Mats Zuccarello has now played eight seasons as a New York Ranger.
At 30 years old, Zuccarello is now one of the oldest members of the team and a leader in the locker room. Not to mention he is a fan favorite and a three-time recipient of the Steven McDonald Extra Effort Award.
When this season took an unexpected downturn, Zuccarello had to step up and help lead a now-rebuilding team. His name was even mentioned in trade rumors, and still is going into the offseason.
