RALEIGH, N.C. — In Daniel Paille’s case, familiarity certainly doesn’t breed contempt.
After his first morning skate as a Ranger Friday, wearing a No. 12 jersey, Paille reeled off a list of current Blueshirts that he knows besides Dan Girardi, a childhood chum from Welland, Ontario.
“I played with Kevin Klein in Guelph (Ontario),” said Paille, 31, a former Bruin who reached an agreement with the Blackhawks to release him from his contract to sign with New York. “I know (Keith) Yandle from Boston, playing in the summers; I’ve seen (Chris) Kreider and (Kevin) Hayes there, too.
