Nash misses game in Ottawa with apparent leg injury

KANATA, Ontario — Rick Nash did not play, having been injured twice — apparently in the leg — Friday night in the win against Carolina. Vigneault said it was the second occurrence, a blocked shot, that was the problem. The coach said there is “a good chance” he will be able to play Monday night against the Sabres at the Garden.

Chris Kreider, out Friday with neck spasms, was back, skating with Derek Stepan and J.T. Miller. Mats Zuccarello started on left wing with Derick Brassard and Jesper Fast, although Vigneault changed that line late in the first period and did much line shuffling late in the 3-0 loss.
