Per Larry Brooks, Gerard Gallant has found at least two of his assistant coaches to start his tenure with the Rangers. Mike Kelly and Gord Murphy will be joining the coaching staff.
Kelly has followed Gallant around for a while, starting with him in the QMJHL before joining him in Florida and Vegas.
Murphy, the former defenseman, was with the Hartford Wolf Pack last season and will now join Gallant with the Rangers this season. He had long stints as an assistant with Columbus, Florida, and the Flyers.
