MONTREAL — Somehow, the Rangers kept it tight. Somehow, they gave themselves a chance. Somehow, they forced overtime.
And it was there in the extra frame when they found their hero and got themselves one win away from advancing.
Mika Zibanejad scored the game-winning goal 14:22 into overtime to give the Rangers a 3-2 victory over the Canadiens in Game 5 of this first-round playoff series Thursday night at Bell Centre.
