The Mets are looking for lefty relief help. Now we know who that help might be.
The Mets are one of two teams reportedly showing strong trade interest in Rangers pitcher Mike Minor, according to The Athletic. The other interested team is the Phillies.
Minor, who entered the league as a starter and has minimal relief experience, has in his contract a 10-team no-trade list that includes the Mets, which likely would complicate any potential deal. The Phillies face no such hurdle.
Minor entered the league in 2010 and pitched five seasons in the Braves rotation, but he missed the 2015 and 2016 seasons with injuries and surgery.
