Some surprising news. After terminating the contract of Robin Kovacs earlier this month, the Rangers are now in the process of terminating another prospect contract. This time it’s Malte Stromwall.
Stromwall was an undrafted free agent signed by the Rangers before the 2016-2017 season. He spent the year in the AHL witha n unimpressive line of 2-4-6 in 44 games. This year Stromwall was sent to the ECHL, where he played a pair of games.
The 23-year-old Stromwall became a spare part in the AHL with some of the newer, more skilled kids coming in.
