New York Rangers prospects Karl Henriksson and Nils Lundkvist captured bronze at the 2020 World Junior Championships as a result of Team Sweden’s 3-2 victory over Finland this morning. Henriksson was the Rangers’ 58th overall pick of the 2019 Draft and is turning 19 in one month; Lundkvist was the 28th overall pick of the 2018 NHL Draft.
Lundkvist finished the tournament with one goal, seven assists, and 16 shots on goal in seven games for Sweden. As of today, he is the second-highest scoring defenseman in the WJC and finished second on scoring on Sweden’s blue line behind Toronto Maple Leafs prospect Rasmus Sandin.
