Former Rangers defenseman Kevin Lowe has been elected to the Hockey Hall of Fame. Lowe spent four seasons with New York, putting up a line of 10-38-48 in 217 games. Not known for his offense, Lowe was a steadying depth presence on the blue line. He was a key cog in the 1994 Stanley Cup run paired with Sergei Zubov.
Lowe is now the third defenseman from that team to be elected to the Hall of Fame, joining Zubov and Brian Leetch. It doesn’t get spoken about much, but that team had some serious blue line depth.
