This is the kind of moment that makes the Rangers front office and fans salivate.
Kaapo Kakko, the 18-year-old Finnish winger the team took with the No. 2-overall selection in this year’s draft, contributed on all four of the Rangers’ goals — three assists, and then a highlight-reel overtime winner — during their 4-3 victory against the Wild’s prospects on Monday afternoon at the Traverse City tournament in Michigan.
On the game-winner, Kakko fought off a defender, circled the net twice, and then tucked the puck between the post and the Minnesota goalie’s right pad.
