Glen Sather may no longer hold the title of general manager with the Rangers, but not only is the club president’s lifetime contract still in force, Garden executive chairman Jim Dolan intends to hold him to it.
“Glen is not allowed to leave,” Dolan told The Post on Tuesday. “No, seriously, he can’t leave until we win the Cup.
“He’s agreed to that.”
You might recall the night of Jan. 17, 2012, when Dolan commandeered the microphone at then-head coach John Tortorella’s press conference following the conference-leading Blueshirts’ 3-0 victory over Nashville and talked about how he believed the club was “pretty close” to winning the Stanley Cup.
