On Saturday, Apr. 29, 2017, a man tormented the New York Rangers all afternoon long in Canada.
That man’s name was Jean-Gabriel Pageau who tallied an amazing four goals in his team’s thrilling 6-5 double-overtime victory in Game 2 of the second-round Stanley Cup Playoff series.
He only gathered 12 during the regular season. This means he came up with a third of his season total in one game.
What’s interesting, and depressing from the New York point of view, is that at 5-3 with a few minutes remaining in the third period, it looked as though the Rangers were on their way home with a split.
